Copyright & License

The following policy governs copyright, publishing rights, and end-user reuse for articles published in ETS.

License: CC BY-SA 4.0 Read License
Reuse permitted with attribution + share-alike; commercial use allowed; no additional legal/technical restrictions.
Author Retained Rights
  • Copyright remains with the author(s).
  • Reuse in books, lectures, theses (with citation).
  • Self-archive preprint, postprint, and publisher’s PDF with DOI & license link.
User Rights (CC BY-SA)
  • Share & adapt for any purpose (incl. commercial).
  • Must credit authors & ETS, link license, note changes.
  • Derived works must use the same license.

1) License to Publish (Non-Exclusive)

Upon acceptance, authors grant ETS a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and archive the Article in any medium worldwide for the full term of copyright, and to sublicense indexing/abstracting for discovery and preservation. Authors keep copyright.

2) Author Warranties

  • Original, not under duplicate publication, and lawful.
  • No infringement of third-party rights; permissions obtained for third-party content.
  • Ethical compliance; sources cited; conflicts disclosed.

3) Third-Party Material

Any content not covered by CC BY-SA (e.g., images, figures, survey instruments) must have explicit permission for OA reuse. Such items must be clearly credited; if reuse is restricted, note it in captions or acknowledgements.

4) No Royalties

Publication under CC BY-SA does not generate royalties for authors. Any APCs, if applicable, are administrative and separate from licensing.

5) Editorial & Production

ETS may edit for style and consistency during copyediting/typesetting without altering scholarly content. The final record includes DOI and license notice.
