Author Guidelines
JECE accepts three article types: Original Research Article, Review Article, and Case Study.
Paper Identity — Concise title; author names and affiliations; corresponding author’s full contact (email required).
Abstract — One paragraph: aim → methods → key results → significance. Add 3–5 keywords.
Introduction — Present motivation and urgency, key facts, preliminary basis, and a gap analysis to state novelty and stance (support/correct/debate prior work).
Literature Review — Brief, focused, and sourced from reputable international journals; address the theoretical needs of the study.
Methods — Provide enough detail for reproduction, including references and any modifications; clearly explain procedures and analysis.
Results & Discussion — Present results clearly (tables/figures must not duplicate each other). Discuss implications and compare with prior work; avoid repeating the Introduction’s citations.
Acknowledgements — Keep concise (funders, specific assistance).
Conclusion — Brief, narrative (non-bulleted), and conceptual; include scientific and/or practical impact.
Paper Identity — Same elements as Original Research.
Abstract — Context & purpose → approach (databases, criteria) → main results → conclusion; add 3–5 keywords.
Introduction — (1) Background; (2) Problems/gaps/trends; (3) Motivation for the review.
Materials & Methods — Data sources, search strategy, inclusion/exclusion criteria, number of studies, synthesis/analysis method.
Main Section (Results & Discussion) — Organise by method, model, theme, chronology, or geography; connect findings to the review questions; compare and synthesise.
Acknowledgements — As needed.
Conclusion — Concise takeaways and future work directions.
Language — Use clear academic English (American or British; do not mix). Indonesian submissions will be edited/translated by JECE (currently free and included in APC policy).
References (IEEE) — Use numeric citations in square brackets [1], [2], [3] in order of appearance. Provide a complete reference list; avoid unpublished sources. At least 25 references are required, and we recommend ≥80% from reputable journals. Use tools such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero.
- Examples: “This theory was first put forward in 1970 [9].” / “Sutikno [10] has argued that …” / “Several studies [7], [9], [11]–[15] suggest …”.
Abbreviations & Acronyms — IEEE, SI, CGS, dc, rms, etc., need no expansion. Less common acronyms must be defined upon first use. Avoid acronyms in the title unless essential.
Units — Prefer SI (MKS). Do not mix SI and CGS in the same manuscript. Do not mix full names and abbreviations (e.g., use “Wb/m2” or “webers per square meter”, not “webers/m2”).
Equations — Number sequentially, right-aligned: (1), (2), … Use italics for variables and bold for vectors. Use appropriate mathematical symbols and fonts (e.g., Book Antiqua/Symbol).
- Include only informative tables/figures; avoid duplication between them.
- Provide captions: tables (above), figures/graphics (below).
- Provide narrative discussion linked to each table/figure.
- Use high-resolution, meaningful images; avoid decorative titles inside images.
- Tables must have ≥2 data rows; avoid repeating units in every cell.
- Table rules: head top/bottom lines only, and a closing line after the data.
- Do not split a table across pages if avoidable; keep related tables together.
- Large tables/figures may span one column when necessary.

Additional Information — Include any relevant notes on datasets, software, ethics, or registrations.
Bibliography — Ensure every in-text citation appears in the reference list and vice versa. Arrange the list according to IEEE style and the order of appearance.
For detailed citation formatting and examples, please see the Author Guidelines page and the Manuscript Templates.
- Manuscript follows the correct article type and structure.
- All figures/tables include clear captions and are cited in text.
