Allegations of Misconduct

Frontier Advances in Applied Science and Engineering (FAASE) is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct in research and publication. We take allegations of misconduct seriously and have established clear procedures to address such cases.

Types of Misconduct:

  1. Plagiarism: Copying or closely paraphrasing content from other sources without proper attribution.
  2. Fabrication: Creating or falsifying data, results, or experimental procedures.
  3. Falsification: Manipulating, altering, or omitting data to present false or misleading information.
  4. Authorship Misrepresentation: Improperly attributing authorship or omitting deserving contributors.
  5. Duplicate Submission: Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously.
  6. Conflict of Interest: Failure to disclose financial or personal relationships that could influence the research.

Reporting Allegations:

Any individual who suspects misconduct in a manuscript submitted to FAASE, during peer review, or after publication is encouraged to report it to the Editorial Office at kormil.saputra@gmail.com. Allegations should be accompanied by sufficient evidence and information to allow for a thorough investigation.

Investigation Process:

  1. Upon receiving an allegation, the Editorial Office initiates a preliminary assessment to determine the nature and credibility of the claim.
  2. If the allegation is deemed credible, an in-depth investigation is conducted, involving all relevant parties, including authors, reviewers, and editors.
  3. The investigation aims to gather all available evidence and input from involved parties to make an informed decision.
  4. If misconduct is confirmed, appropriate actions will be taken, which may include but are not limited to, manuscript retraction, author sanctions, and informing relevant institutions.

Confidentiality and Protection:

All parties involved in an allegation of misconduct are treated with utmost confidentiality. FAASE ensures the protection of the rights and reputation of both the accused and the accuser throughout the investigation process.
