Introduction
The advantages of free open access are available to all readers and writers of Electrical and Computer Experience (ECE). We think that free, open access encourages usage and accessibility on a global scale, benefiting the academic and professional communities and the general public. Since there are no entrance fees, ECE offsets publication costs by charging authors, institutions, or funders article processing charges (APC) for each published article. These costs include managing peer reviews, journal production, online hosting, and long-term archiving.

Article Processing Charges (APC)
All articles accepted for publication are subject to an Article Processing Charge (APC) to provide readers with free access and to cover the costs associated with peer review management, journal production, online hosting, and long-term archiving. The APC for IJMS is currently set at 100 USD. This charge is valid for the current calendar year and may be revised at the publisher's discretion.
The submitting author is responsible for arranging the payment of the APC and must confirm at the time of submission that they will organize the payment should the article be accepted for publication. This responsibility may not be delegated to any third party unless explicitly agreed upon by the publisher.
Note: Articles submitted between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024, will not incur an APC.
Fast Track Review
For authors who wish to expedite the review process, IJMS offers a Fast Track Review option. The fee for Fast Track Review is USD 200.00 for both domestic and international authors.
Rationale: This higher fee reflects the additional resources and priority handling required to fast-track the review process. It includes accelerated peer review, prompt editorial decisions, and quicker publication timelines to accommodate urgent needs.

Penalty Fee
The penalty fee will be charged 50 (USD) (Valid from the 2025 issue) for authors who decide to retract articles entered in the review/publish phase. Furthermore, when the submitted article has entered the review stage, which is then not revised during the specified time, and there is no response until the time of publication arrives, the right of authorship belongs to the journal. This is because the author does not appreciate the entire process that has been carried out.
